Public Service Announcement

As a parent and provider of information, it is my duty to issue this public service announcement. There is an epidemic throughout the world and this country that can no longer be ignored. There are literally thousands of children screaming around the world who at this very moment might be suffering from it. Often times this act is perpetrated by the caregivers for the child, those who love them most. This act must be stopped.

Changing a diaper when child wants to play.

This act has ruined millions of play times, all with the same justification of health and general cleanliness. Can any level of health be worth missing out on chasing the dog for the 10th time today? Does a clean outfit outweigh the chance to slam two toys together?

Children all over are losing their freedoms. This is America! Children should be allowed to play while sitting in a wet diaper without “The Man” or “The Mom” dictating when and where they can play. Where’s the ACLU when you need them?

This act is only a gateway into future atrocious acts, such as giving medicine when a child doesn’t want it, putting a child to bed when they are not tired or too tired, making a child bathe after playing in the mud, and unauthorized wiping of the face when food was clearly being saved for later.

Worst of all, this kind of parenting only leads to a new generation of parents who care about the health and welfare of their children over playtime and staying up late.

So, the next time you put your child on the changing table to change a diaper and they scream bloody murder because they don’t want to be changed at that moment, think about this. Do you want to raise a child who cares about the well-being of their children over the well-being of their own ears?
